The Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy would like to cordially invite
you to the XXV Anniversary Days of the IPP Conference 'Terrorised'.
The conference will be held on the 20th of February 2016, in room A of the Auditorium
Maximum, on the University of Warsaw Main Campus at ul. Krakowskie Przedmiescie 26/28 in Warsaw.
The conference will focus on clinical work with very difficult patients who terrorise their
therapists and are terrorised by their own internal and external situation.
In celebrating the XXV Anniversary of the IPP, we will be joined by excellent psychoanalysts:
Ingrid Moeslein-Teising, PhD, from Frankfurt – President of the IPA Committee on Women and
Psychoanalysis for Europe, Member of the German Psychoanalytical Society. She will present the
lecture 'Terrorised by a woman's body'.
Jean-Michel Quinodoz, PhD, from Geneva – Founding Member of the Swiss Psychoanalytical
Society and Honorary Member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. He will present the lecture
'Working under fire'.
Eduardo Gastelumendi, PhD from Lima – President of the Peru Psychoanalytic Society. His visit
was possible thanks to the initiative of the Polish Psychoanalytical Society, which secured a
grant from CAPSA/IPA. Mr Gastelumendi will present his lecture 'Terrorised in
countertranseference by modern perverse-sadistic patients'.
Professor Martin Teising from Berlin – Member of the German Psychoanalytical Society,
Vice-president of the IPA Psychoanalytic Perspectives on Ageing of Patients & Analysts
Committee, President of the International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin. He will
chair a panel discussion on 'How to work facing terror'
The lectures will be delivered in English and translated into Polish.
The conference fee is 250 PLN until the 19 January, and 300 PLN after the 20 January;
150 PLN for students of the University of Warsaw.
